Estadio book

This project reflects on the increasing number of abandoned football pitches one can find in several villages in the ‘Dão-Lafões’ region of Portugal. Based on studies and reports from the Portuguese National Institute of Statistics of 2008, this project expresses the perception of the demographic, cultural and political reasons, which lead to their dereliction. These are specified throughout the book, together with a series of photographs of the football fields in fifteen villages in the region.
